We where in Lake George a few weeks ago with very high humidity and also heavy thunderstorms so I though of A/C gasket first then possible condensation last. So today I finaly got to flooding the roof to check for gasket leaks and good luck no water.I have read many posts on water leaks from A/C units so I also checked A/C drains and they are wide open so how do you solve the condensation problem. The leakage came in around rear return duct which also stain the ceiling liner which I was able to total clean off with Woolite oxy clean and a fresh water sprayer (stain gone). But what to do for the condensation PROBLEM.I have read that max. fan setting can cause this problem by pushing water in to ceiling out of condensation pan. ALL HELP TAKEN VERY SERIOUS

Hi! I am not real sure what may cause it. Have you had a problem before? Maybe it was the combo of the storm and heavy outside humidity? Maybe someone else has an idea. Paul

I have never had the problem before but we have never run the A/C as we did that week. Tough weather that week.

Ducted units can often have crack or gaps between the intake and chilled air. This allows the intake metal ducts to be quite cool, then the warm air being drawn into/through the unit contacts cool metal, condenses moisture in that air; you know the rest. Make sure any and all openings are sealed with aluminum tape.
re: The drain holes in the A/C pan. There are usually two drain pans(Dometic), one under the condensor, the other under the evaporator. The latter also has drain holes that drain into the large pan. The evaporator coil is/should be tightly enclosed, as that is the chilled air ducted into your coach. This enclosure must be partially removed to clean the pan.
Be sure to disconnect power FIRST!
