A/C Noise

Been travelling in our DS for the last 2 months in very hot weather. Is there anyway to reduce the noise from the 3 A/C's (other than turning them off - not an option) when they cycle on & off? Our domentic A/C's boom when they come on & off. Not a problem during the day.

Thanks

I am not sure which ceiling treatment you have, but the following are what some are using:

Maybe installing a soft start would quiet the compressor start up?

Set the fans to run continuously so only the compressor cycles; less of a noise change.

A knowledgeable RV'er/Poster with a Country Coach, is pleased with the sound reduction of this product. He's put it on one unit, and will do the rest now too...

It's on my list to do too... One downside, only white color is available, so for those with beige/tan color roofs, a trip to Home Depot for a paint to match is an added step.

I'll note, that I do not know how this will work with AC's that have defused returns to the unit.

Best to all,
Smitty

Interesting product...but I don’t think it will work in later model Newmars...but it could in the OPs 2008... New models do not have same intake.
