A Noise Problem From Within the Overhead Entertainment Center Cabinet

Curious if anyone has had/is having a noise problem from their entertainment center devices in the overhead cabinet... noises like bouncing/rattling from one against the other. I know there's a certain amount of noise from the windshield and driver's side MCD shades, but I sense there's also some noise from within the cabinet. The devices seem to be secured to one another by velcro, but maybe noisy in spite of that. Anyone have and correct such a problem? Would
appreciate hearing...thanks.

I have a 2016 DS 4369 and I too have noise. What I did was go to Home Depot and buy a 10' piece of black neoprene water pipe insulation. I then placed pieces of the insulation between the Stereo receiver, Directv box, DVD etc. I then bought a couple of fasteners and secured a strap from the left side of the cabinet to the right side of the cabinet and pulled the strap as tight as I could get it. That cut the noise down by 90%.

You can also buy heavy duty stick-on velcro at Walmart to keep the components in place.

Thanks for the responses...appears they may, at least significantly,
cut the noise. Anyone resolve the problem another way?

Everything in my cabinet including the dish receiver is velcroed together top to bottom. No issues with noise from it.

Thanks, Jim! Velcro, AGAIN, comes to the rescue. Likely, enough of it
will quiet any rattle?? Who cares what it looks like, covered in velcro?!

What I would like to see most in that cabinet is power chords and cables of the proper (shorter) length. It would really clean things up and make it easier to secure the components.

There's a ridiculous amount of 'spaghetti' up there. -Paul

This is what I've ended up with. It stays put and makes literally no noise. I removed a couple of the outlets that used to be on another "wall" on the back left side and added one power strip for all the units. I also added switch on the left to turn the light off if I want to keep the door open to control the dish receiver. The dish receiver is mounted up on a plexi shelf which is anchored to the side and back wall along with a top off a silicone tube to support the outside corner. Did this to help with the heat those put out.

Sorry, I forgot to add, I removed the blue ray and fabricated a bracket to attach it under the front TV. That took one more thing out of the cabinet.

I velcroed all my equipment together, but occasionally found the Home Theater box would "walk" forward a little bit and I would get a banging on the cabinet door. I would simply push it back.

I changed the velcro to the 3M Dual Lock Velcro. Seems to work very well. Appears to be the same type used for the EZPass fastening to the windshield.

I also cut a piece and stuck it close to the power button on the satellite control box. I have another strip that I fasten there to that piece or it is wrapped around the steering wheel when the satellite dish is up. You can not put the satellite dish up without moving the velcro. Works well for us so we remember to put the dish down, since either of us might put it up or take it down.

Good responses...thanks! I hope to tackle my situation in a few days,
using some form of the velcro idea. As to the "spaghetti" of cords,
should one NOT consider shortening any contributing to the problem.
Can that safely be done...has anyone done that?

I use Scotch Extreme Fasteners. They aren't hook/loop ... more like teeth. As insulators, I use wafers/chunks cut from a pool noodle.
