AC Compressor time delay

Just installed progressive ind HW50C EMS in my 04 MADP.

Instructions ask does your AC compressor have a 136 second delay when power is interrupted?

I have done a search with no info found. Owners manual doesn’t say.

Anyone know the answer?

how about running a test?

get the a/c compressor running. flip the a/c circuit breaker off. wait a few seconds or so and then flip it back on. look at your watch. wait until you hear the compressor start. look at your watch. how long did it take for the compressor to start?

You should be able to do that test by turning up the thermostat until the compresdor stops and then move it back down and listen for it to kick on..

Assuming you have Dometic units, they have a 2 minute delay (aprox). The EMS also has a delay so they are trying to find out whether you want the EMS delay enabled or disabled. If you also have a residential reefer, you may want both delays.

Agreed. Never can have too many break before make compressor protectors. Reefer will survive but I don't like interrupting it. leave it on.
