Attended the FMCA rally in Shreveport. 30 amp but with major problems. My outlet was first wired with two hot legs(double breaker) and after several outages was rewired to have 30 amp on one leg(single breaker) I have a progress 50 amp surge protector and a zentane (sp) pure sine inverter. Problem, After the rewire L-2 showed 92 to 115 volts but 0 amp draw.
front ac wouldl not work ,starts for 3/4 seconds and stops. 50 amp CG last night and surge protector shows L-1 119 volts and draws 28 amps L-2 shows 118 volts and draws 0 amps. EMS tries to power up front of coach but finally shows power at 50 amps and power to front ac only but ac stops and light for front ac power starts blinking. If I select the elec hot water heater it will not come on. During the last outage I fired the Gen for 3 hours all worked fine. Only after the rewire did the problem start. Yes we did have low voltage after the rewire. Maybe a circuit breaker on the inverter?? Aubie

If your outlet was wired for 240 volts (2 hot leads, double breaker) you have damage to your electronics.. You need to have a technician pay you a call.

I once said "When you plug a 30 amp rig into a 240 volt outlet bad things happen"

A friend said "Says who" .. (For her it's very good things.. You see, that's how she gets paid.. For fixing the damage done by the wrong voltage)

A power guardian, however, should protect you. (What folks call a surge guard)

If its your load center your talking about your two AC's should be split between both sides of the 50 amp load center. If you tagged all leads put them back where they belong or else buzz them out.
The main should be 50 amp double circuit breaker all others 15 or 20 amp unless a dryer which could be 30 amp.
If you used a 50 amp dog bone to 30 amp may not of had a problem.
