Access to light bulb at base of stairway

Looking for advice on how to gain access to the light bulb located at the base of the entry stairway on my 2014 Dutch Star - does the lens just pop off?

Separately - where can I purchase LED units of the docking lights? I see that the current lights are sealed units - so I can't gain access to the light bulbs.

Thanks!

This is where I bought my LED docking lights. They make a big improvement. That being said, I usually try to arrive at a site way before nightfall.

Here's a comparison pic. The front docking lights are the LEDs, the rear are the standard ones.

Jon,
On the lens you should see a number. Take a look on Amazon for that number and cross it over to an equivalent LED part. Most of the lights are supplied by Grote. I just replaced all four of mine last year because the lenses were yellowed.
You might look on the Grote website first to locate the LED Part number by matching the dimensions.

We just did LED replacements of the yellow clearance lights on our 2001 Dutch Star. Hubby did just what was suggested...we unscrewed one lens (it came apart in our hands) but he was able to get the number and get the Grote LED replacements.

We are doing the back clearance lights next changing those to LEDs.

These are the lights you have at the stairwell. It looks like they are sealed and you have to replace the whole unit.

You can change the bulb in those lights. They use a push in style 194 type bulb. I changed mine to led and like it much better now.

Great lights - I replaced my yellowing docking lights with these - ezy-peezy to change.

I also changed the lens and installed LED bulbs in my scare/security lights.......between the docking and scare lights - it goes from dark to very bright with the click of a switch.........

I'd like to put LED bulbs in my tail lights, they make them to fit the socket but am told the turn signal will not work - it creates a "fast" blink......

Just a thought - with what people pay for new coaches - I am surprised Newmar hasn't upgraded outside lights to LED.
