Has anyone actually done this? I know folks claims they dont need more than 2, however in south Alabama, I don't believe it...also, the 43s had 3 units after 06....
I know mine are working correctly with about 20 or more differential degrees from return to supply...and I have solar 94% sun screens, awnings deployed, etc...it just needs help!
If this has been done, was it worth it? Were you able to keep it in with the existing ducts? I presume a separate T stat is needed...how about the cost??? Was it worth it??? Any place near south Alabama do it??

If you have the third opening identified on roof you may need to call Newmar with your coach build number and see if its been prewired for sensor, power wiring to your load center and telephone wire leads to the control units in forward AC's.
Wiring diagrams
The air vents would have to be there also so new AC will access them.
The Total Comfort information shows ducts going all the way to rear of coach so you maybe OK but you do need wiring in opening as third picture shows in air vent link.

Not sure what you mean by identifying the 3rd opening...there is nothing I see on the roof to tell me that..

I don't think Newmar even intended to offer that as a option on 06, so I would be suprised to see any of the wiring (power or control) roughed in for a future install. I could see that being the biggest issue to installing another AC along with tieing it into the Newar's ac and reuturn air duct work. I would want to get Newmar's opinoin on the matter. They should be able to tell you of any pitfalls in the installation.

Never been on the roof of 43' coach, that maybe could have a 3rd AC so just a guess on my part that there would be some info up there near AC location, as they have marked roofs for the satellite dome locations.
As Iron Man said need to call Newmar.
