Additional Step question

I forgot to add this question to my earlier tread about my steps. On my control box for my steps, there is a purple wire that comes out of the box, not sure why but this purple wire has been cut. What is this purple wire for and does it need to be reconnected?

Thanks again,

Bill

The purple wire on our LCI step was disconnected also. I found a wire with a crimp connector on it that came from the coach and when I connected it the step light came on with the porch light. That's probably what yours is.

I will have to get under there and test it. Ours is disconnected as well.

I added my own light under the steps. Got tired of the bottom step being dark.
