Additional Televator Lift Switch

The Televator lift switch on my 3412 is located in what is quite possibly the least convenient location imaginable short of putting it in the basement. I see the 2108 models have moved it to the other side of the coach.

I've thought about adding an extra switch (maybe a remote control one to avoid too much extra wiring). Thoughts on how to do this?

Putting the switch on the other side was one of many changes that pushed us to a 2018 instead of taking an existing 2017 on a dealers lot.

We don't have our unit yet. Does the switch have to be "held" in palce as the TV rises? If so, doing some sort of remote may be difficult. If it's simply a switch that "starts" the process, I'n sure you could replace the switch with another switch that can accommodate a remote.

It's a momentary press to actuate the lift. What I don't know is if it's 12v or 110.

You could use a multi-meter to determine the voltage. The biggest problem will be the size. You'll likely have to have a surface mounted device of some sort.

I've looked but I can't find an ON-OFF-ON Momentary switch that uses a remote.

If it's 12 volt, Harbor Freight carry's a cheap ATV type winch that uses a key fob to operate.....use the electronic part, and it's an RF controller.....or a landing gear switch off a fifth wheel.....

It is momentary and uses a control unit/board
