I agree with Bucky and would not trust that worm clamp with PEX tubing. A ratcheting PEX clamp tool is pretty cheap ($30 or so at Home Depot) and once you have it, you can fix most plumbing issues or remodel project in the future.

I tried it today with the worm clamp and it did not leak.

I'll keep an eye on it.

I did use a dremel to remove the old one as someone upthread suggested.

Learned about PEX along the way...
