Question Aftermarket Chrome bottoms to basement doors?

I had some road trash damage two basement doors this passed weekend and instead of having Newmar repair/replace them I'm curious if I could just get the chrome bottoms put on like some Dutch Star and higher models have. This would cover the damaged areas. Does anyone know who might offer the chrome edges to the bottom of the doors?

Talked with Summit at the Tampa RV show. They supply the chrome to Newmar so everything will fit well. I planned on getting the trim, but can't justify the expense right now. I am going to settle for their fuel spill deflector for $18.95.

Hey Neal. We got a quote to have the 8" summit package installed on our 2016 Ventana 4322 and it would look killer with our colors. The quote was for around $4,500 installed, including the home stairs ends. It's a really sharp mod but certainly not practical dollars and sense wise. it is definitely a want to have versus must have.

Actually it's stainless steel, not chrome.

However, Summit's products are the best.

Much less expensive when done as an option during ordering. The dealer indicated they could do it after market but less dollars up front.

As others have said Summit provides the stainless steel to Newmar. I was all set for Newmar to install the package when I was there in July for warranty work, but I was told they did not have the kit because they needed to measure each door, and know one told me that till I was there.

So on the way home I stopped by Summit and had them take the measurements. I will be going to Summit in August to have them install the kit plus the wheel well trim, the rear engine door and side radiator grill. And their throwing in the fuel spill shields all for about the same price Newmar was charging me for less stainless steel. So it worked to my benefit.

If you're up to the task you can measure and order and install them yourself and save about a $1000. They have a video on how to install them.

Summit products are really quite good, and not all that difficult to install. I had them measure mine at Pueblo last September, and installed the product my self. Not at all difficult to do - just need to take your time with it. Took me the better part of two days to complete, but I think it is definitely worth saving $1000.
