It is my understandig that if a caoch has a weight imbalance from side to side it can have a tendancy to wander when driven. I have also seen posts about after market equipment that can be added to a coach's front end to improve drive stability and steering control. Does anyone have experience with such coach instability issues and or with using third party equipment to correct this type of condition?

If you are interested in a DP I would say you do not have to worry about that condition as a gas chassis owner would have to possibly.

Hi DLane,
My coach had severe driving and side to side stability problems. After two trips to Spartan and only a very slight improvement, I purchased (one at a time) several after market products.
1. Howard Precision Steering System
2. Roadmaster anti sway bar
3. Super Steer air bag restrictors

Each of the above mentioned products had a hand in making my coach a pleasure to drive. Individually they improved control and handling, but together the coach now handles as close to perfect as one can expect.

If additional details are needed, let me know. Your coach will have Comfort Steer. Get used to the CS first, then post here if you have concerns.

FYI, the Granning 1260 front end used on my coach, Newmar quickly discontinued using it.
