We got this coach in January and when we got ready to leave our site, I turned the key to acc, the chime sounded and stopped when the air bags inflated to, I believe, over 70 pounds. Both bags filled at the same time. Today when I started it, the chime sounded but the gauge for #2 took much longer to get up to pressure. #1 filled as usual. Does this sound like something to have checked out? What should I watch for?

Hi jillie,
On my coach, sometimes the rear fills first, sometimes the front fills first and sometimes they all fill together. The gage I use is to start the engine and push the button to retract the jacks. Then I go outside and disconnect the electric and store the cord. Then I do my final walk around the coach. When I return to the driver's seat, the coach should be aired up and ready to go.

This is normal. Nothing to worry about.

I have also found that sometimes the gauges reach normal pressure but the front bags don't inflate. My trick is to pop the air brakes and then the front starts to rise. It seems that the air brakes must unstick the valve. Another coach next to me one day had the same problem and I told him to pop the air brakes and sure enough up came the front. Other than that the bags have never inflated together equally.

I had this same issue in the rear. Turned out that the leveling valve was out of adjustment. It was actually pushing the arm up to high when the bags were down to inflate. Yes, the arm was to high. Go figure. Prior to fixing I would release the brakes as you stated. It began getting to the point that I would have to release the brakes and roll forward just a touch and then it would inflate.

Amazing how we figure out ways to make things work and the manufacturers are just out in the cold with an answer other than "replace" something.

That's one of the advantages of belonging to a forum like this one - someone will have an answer to what ails you.

That is the benefit from sites like this. One way or another somebody has encountered and solved the problem. I guess the manufacturers are just using us as the test bed and quality assurance team.
