My vent for the microwave-convectionn oven is on the side of my kitchen pull-out - We are stationary up in New Brunswick, awaiting our departure for Fort Myers. It has been very windy these past days and air hits the outside vent and does cool dowm the inside through the upper vent of the oven - Besides putting some block outside (temporary)....any suggestions ? Thanks

I'd pull the 2 inside filters and either cover them with plastic and replace or maybe just duct tape over the holes until the wind changes direction. I'd also put a reminder on the micro door to remove whatever you do (the memory is the first to go you know)

Covered the outside vent with a plastic bag, but not with Duck Tape (too messy on the paint) - Used regular green masking tape, easy to remove thanks

I actually used the duct tape over the inside holes while in 30* degree with winds last year. I wasn't going up on top ! ! !

Actually, it's the second thing to go. But I don't remember the first.

No, we just haven't moved in a while and the map timed out. We'll be moving in a few days so I'll just update it then.

Just so you know some of the older MH's had a small locking tab with one screw that was turned to lock vent cover on windy day.
You could turn it with you awning rod.
I'd put a rubber sleeve over metal rod so you will not scratch the paint.
Question are you in the large RV park on top of the hill, been there many times with groups I took to Tattoo in Halifax, than to P.E.I.

No such mechanism on my 2006 DSDP exterior vent - just a cover, painted, matching the MH

I live in the NW part of the Province, about 260 miles North of St J
