Air conditioner dripping outside
Morning all!! Newbie here... I have a 2016 Canyonstar 3710, and am not sure if I have an issue or not, but when the air conditioner is running, there is a steady drip of water running outside - is this normal?

It is normal to have water drip from roof during operation. The AC is removing moisture from the RV and it drains onto the roof and then runs off. It's more prevalent when the humidity is high.

Thank you - I was hopeful that was the answer, but I was not seeing the same "leakage" on other motorhomes in the park I am at, so I thought best to ask...

If you are running your AC in Florida is the summer you can pretty well take a shower in the stream of water running off the gutter...

Currently in southern Wisconsin, but the humidity is pretty high.
Thank you, again!

Yes, it's normal. You may want to consider installing down spouts to keep from streaking up the sides of your MH.

I used strips cut from the length of a clear plastic water bottle and used Silicone to secure them in place. Keeps the water away from the side of the coach and are nearly invisible.

The water condensing on the coils is normal. However depending on the brand and model AC 's you have dripping down the side of the coach may not be normal.
Our Winnebago Adventurer uses Coleman Mach 8 air conditioners. They have a tray surrounding the condenser coil that accumulates water. They also have a pump with a float switch in the tray, and a hose that runs inside the roof to a drain at the back of the coach. When the tray fills to the proper level the pump empties it and disposes of it. When the air conditioners are running on humid days you can see a puddle on the ground under the rear panel of the coach, but nothing running off the roof.

It is normal on the Canyon Stars(and most likely all the Newmars) it is just the condensation running off. I put a clothes pin on each rain gutter spout when parked and it keeps the dripping from getting on the MH. When walking the CG's just look at some of the other MH's and you will see the wet spots below the gutter spouts.

What you may see is that depending on how the RV is leveled, the water may run off a different side or front or back. Your neighbors probably have a puddle in a different corner.

Ours are on the top of the MH, at both ends, both sides. The rain gutter runs from the rear cap all the way to about the middle of the front side windows.
