Air Force One installer

Will be picking up our new DSDP around the first of October. I would like to get the Airforce one installed asap after. Can anyone recommend a shop/dealer close by to the factory that they've had good luck with? I see 4 dealers within 25 miles.

Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill
Why not just ask Newmar for a recommendation. I'm sure they have knowledge of the shops in their area.

SMI has a network of dealers / installers. They did when I bought a Stay N Play a few years ago. Call them.

Bill,

When we needed to do the same thing in June 2015, Newmar recommended, and we used, (Hitches and Fifth Wheel products by Dan's Hitch, LLC) Dan's Hitch in Elkhart. We were very satisfied with the work and the price.

Thanks everyone. I looked at the dealer finder on the SMI website and found the 4 dealers/installers within 25 miles. Dan's was the only one without an email address. Jerry, we live in Caribou Maine. I didn't ask Newmar because I thought they might not want to pick "favorites" but it might be worth a shot.

We used Dan's, very expensive and took a day longer then promised, found out months later that they caused a leak in my tail light that burned up the lights. We were treated like we we were lucky to be there...

For my new jeep I used a company in Ft. LAUDERDALE that was half the cost and did great work and on time.

I had mine installed at the AirForce One Factory -- also in Indiana, not too far away. Can't ask for better expertise and they were extremely friendly and competent. This was a few years ago, but they may still be doing installs.

When I called SMI a few months ago for technical help, they were definitely doing installs.

Yes I did contact SMI prior to asking here on the forum & they will do both the coach & the car for $400 & the owner even said we can borrow a car so we don't have to sit there for 4 or 5 hours. Just thought maybe there was another option that would work. So I am thinking I'll do the Factory Pick Up & then head south 5 hours to SMI & have them do it. Then we would make Nashville a stop on the way home.

Thanks all
