air horn

Air horn on 2004 gas Newmar Kountry Star doesn't work. Any ideas? Where is the air compressor for that thing? Art

I have an '04 ks with a diesel, my air horn doesn't work either. Mine works off the air brake compressor, there is an air horn relay mounted in the dash fuse panel, and there is also an electrically operated air valve under the hood on the front firewall. I'm pretty sure the relay and switch are good, when I tried to put air into the horn side of the air valve I still couldn't get much in the way of noise. Next step is to get up on the roof and make sure the line to the horns is ok and then look at the horns themselves. Don't have any timeline when I'll get that done, but if you don't fix yours first I'll post here when I do. Good luck.

I believe a gas coach is electric 12V horn.
You have switch on dash and fuses & relay controlling horn.

Check it out--most likely electric horns. Look for wires running to them rather than tubing.
The chrome electric roof horns on our Dolphin gasser are for display purposes only. Others have found they are often not even hooked up, and when they connect the wiring to the horn circuit, the horns barely work, if at all. I disconnected my chassis horns, and I get a pathetic barely audible moan from the roof horns. What a waste!
