Love the coach. At the dealer now getting the original punch list worked on.
Still sifting through the manuals and getting questions answered.
Lug Nut has somehow become my technical support.

Dude, I gotta think this is your first coach, because of all the neophyte questions.

I don't think it is his first coach, but the unit he bought is a complex setup that requires much study and understanding to get the most from it. Many buyers, including me, like to understand how each function or device is controlled and how to get the most from it.

Even if it IS his first coach, I'm sure glad this forum exists to provide answers to those questions....
Please let's no do anything to discourage folks from asking questions,as after all that's one benefit of these forums.
Who knows....ya might even need some questions answered yourself IRT the new National!

Its good to go thru questions as these because we may have some GUESTS that would never know the answer to some of their questions because they never asked.
If you get a Newmar product we are here for you also.

I agree, read the manuals first, then ask the questions.

On the subject of horns, I have a set of "train air horns" given to me as a gift. Does anyone know if I will have to add an auxillary air tank to keep from using my main tanks to much and what size line to I need to run the new horns at the most "beneficial" sound? thanks

Marvin D. Welcome to irv2 and the Newmar forum.
Your tanks maybe able to handle both sets of horns they must have enough reserve or your air pump would just restore what air you use.
If not correct you will get your answer from someone.
Owning a Newmar I can make you a member of this forum so you willn't just be known as a new member.
Enjoy the forums and post often.

Ok, I'm not a neophyte, I have a 2001 MACA with airhorns. Never have been able to get them to work. There is NOTHING in the manual on how to turn them on or off. I have owned vehicles with separate airhorns that were no brainers to use. Maybe I just don't have the patience to hold down the regular horn to get the the airhorn to sound. ;-)

No one should hesitate to ask questions. This is my second MH and I have read all of the manuals. Many of the manuals do not provide enough detail, especially the basic Newmar manual. I just had a friend call me about winterizing his MH. The Suburban water heater manual did not provide enough information about how to drain the water tank. I went online and talked him through the procedure.

Charlie, if you have air horns on your coach they may have been installed by someone other than Newmar. I have a switch on my dash that will put them on and off but normal horns will always work which ever way the switch is thrown.
My horns are electrical not from a compressor check your fuse panel over your steering wheel and see if you have a fuse on the panel it maybe missing.
