We will be attending the ballon festival from 10-2 thru 10-9. Is there anyone attending. We made our reservations prior to the NKC offering, so we are on our own; and staying in the Presidential Compound.

We are not attending this year but we do have reservations in the Presidential Campground next year and would like to hear your comments about the accommodations and the festival when you have a chance.

Let us know if there is any talk about next year. I heard that the BF was getting so big that it might affect its future. Except I was always taught not to believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. We hope to be in NM for the balloon fest next year.

I can tell you that the Balloon Fiesta is something everyone should go to at least once in their lifetime ...I can tell you it is spectacular after having been there years ago... I think every RVer should make it at least once...whether with a RV group or by yourself!!

Enjoy...take lots of pics (which you can't help but doing) and then post them back here on iRV2 to share with all the others who could NOT attend!
(my pics were taken pre-digital cams- but I took rolls & rolls of film!)

Looks like we won't get a chance to connect as we're going in on 10/9 and not staying in the Presidential area. We signed on with the NKK group and will be parked south of the baseball fields.

My sister still lives in N.O. a couple of blocks from Commander's Palace. I was reared in Metairie but moved away many years ago.

Looks like we will miss you also. We arrive on the 9th with the NKK group.
