All electric Newmar fridge?

I'm considering making an offer on an 05 Essex. It's an all electric model. The refrigerator is a double door Norcold, looks like a 1200 with ice/water in the door. I'm assuming this is a normal Norcold absorption refrigerator with the gas burner eliminated. Is my assumption correct
or is it a whole different animal?

Well I would check. Is there LP in the coach? Open the outside vent cover next to the fridge and look at whatever they did in there. Base on the info you provided it would have to be a conversion.

Hi - There were two refrigerators in the 05 Essex. The one with the ice in the door was an option. As far as I know it is just the standard gas absorption model. While the coach does have diesel fired heating it really is not an all electric coach. It came with a gas/electric fridge and a propane cook top. Don't know what has been changed over the years in the coach you are looking at.

Coach has no propane tank. Electric stove.

Hi - Sounds like the owner did some upgrades over the years (or a lot of specials at the build). Hope it works out for you.

Not an owner mod. or a special order. 2005 Essex owners manual refers to the all electric models, saying that the all electric models come with six, rather than 4, house batteries. It references the all electric option throughout the book and I've looked at several Newmars that had this option. They came with a dometic fridge with the norcold being an option. I'm assuming all they are regular RV refrigerators without the gas burner.

Hi - Thanks for the information. I went back and looked at the old advertising and I couldn't find a reference to an all electric option until the 2006 model year. I get to learn something every day here.
