Anyone out there interested in purchasing a Newmar Product (I love mine) should stay away from Altman's Winnebago which is an authorized Newmar Dealer in Carson, California. I normally wouldn't even bother writing this but I'm extremely exasperated with them. I purchased my coach at the end of January. They've had it for almost 6 weeks in total and can't seem to even resolve some simple PDI issues. It amazes me that none of their employees (including the owner) will take any ownership of problems without blaming someone else. I think I will give up and drive the 300 miles to Alpine Recreation in Northern California.

I agree, make a trip to the factory. From everything I have read we plan to take our new 2005 to the factory on Dec 2 so they can fix the punch list that we have put together for them on everything we have found wrong. I would suggest too that you call and make an appt. We called last Monday and they scheduled us for Dec. 2.

You should all be happy to know that Altmans have been dropped from Newmar. 2 weeks ago they were on the Newmarcorp website for a local service, I called Altmans, and they said they would not work on it unless you bought it from them (which they are no longer selling Newmar). Newmarcorp website has replaced them with 2 other local dealerships for warranty, McMahons and Giant RVs in Irvine.
