Always get the external TV option - here's why
I got the external TV and I'm glad I did, I like it. While I've rarely used the TV to date because I'm obsessed with tinkering, soon I hope to learn to camp and relax and however that works. I've also rarely used my hammocks. But here's why you should ALWAYS order the external TV bay.
Let's say you never use the TV. Remove it and you have a wonderful additional storage bay! Can you imagine, those of us with the TV bays, how nice it would be for storage instead of a TV? Not one here can say "I have too much storage" - so I'm sure this bay would be a benefit to all. Don't just think it's for a TV

oh... darn it. At $1900 and nearly never using my CS one, because you can only see the image at night, I opted out on my NA. This decision went against the advice from the dealer that said 'everyone' looks for that in a RV. Now that you say that I could have mounted a peg board and hung stuff in there.

My only gripe with the external TV is it weakens the side wall. Otherwise nothing like kicking back outside and watching baseball.

I'm sure the neighbors appreciate the outside TV.

Hi - Had one in the last coach and never used it. I guess it's an East Coast thing. Too hot, too cold, too wet, too buggie. I envy you West Coasters.

We have a outside TV. Opened it to check that it worked. Closed it. Have not opened it since...

We ordered the outdoor TV mostly for resale, but we do use it occasionally. Sometimes we put our latest favorite photos on a flash drive, insert it in the USB slot on the TV, and let them roll when we’re entertaining outside.

So, we should all stay inside and whisper to avoid annoying the neighbors? I will tell you now, a group of friends sitting around a campfire visiting is going to generate WAY more noise and distractions than me and the DW sitting outside watching a movie. If you want to not be annoyed by neighbors, maybe boondocking in the woods is more your style.
There are limits of course, but watching TV outside is WELL within those limits.

x2 but I wonder if not having it affects resale. Not like it is easy to add for someone that wants it.

Reminder, the suggestion is having the compartment whether for TV or not. It would make a great storage compartment. This thread is not about actually watching the TV but another reason to get the option on your coach for TV <or> storage.
