Am I getting gypped for the pricing on these 'specials'?

Yes, each special (line item) had a price and then at the bottom of the 4th page was a total dealer cost. I can't say what others are getting but we got this from 2 different dealers. We had narrowed our dealers down from 5 to 2 by this time.

Yes, it is directly from Newmar to our dealer and then passed on to us. Our dealer didn’t hesitate when we asked for a line item breakdown

I think its more of a pain in the butt then anything for them and they really don't want you to know how much your paying for each item... On my deal we figured everything at MSRP and discounted it from there. I hear people saying they got there specials at cost but there overall discount % was less then mine...? I'm not sure how that works...

Do folks mind saying who their dealers are? We're about to put out a build sheet to a number of dealers and this issue of who gives you line item charges and who doesn't would be very helpful. Thanks.

Tom has a great reputation, provided me a specials list with total price for all, however said Newmar won't itemize. For sure the document provided to me was from Newmar. Good luck

We worked our discount out up front - a very good deal with a trade in. Then we talked specials. We were provided Newmar's quote sheet for each special. One was denied, the rest were approved. The black dash was just $105 for example. Later we added the large kitchen window as an additional special - $900. I'm surprised that any dealer would withhold this information. How could you decide what was worth the added expense and what not?

You said something here that Leeds me to think it may be the way the dealer places the order for specials. You said: "We were provided Newmar's quote sheet for each special". It looks like they may submit each one by itself. I received a different sheet each time I added something, and if it was just one thing at a time, it reflected the exact price of that item. Example my specials sheet had a total of $3200 and I added remove Swag from bed and bath valences, new total was $3235. Just a thought

Worked out the initial discount off of MSRP and then submitted specials which I received at dealer cost. Total on specials was roughly $5K and I was fine with that number, especially knowing I upgraded the chassis to 24K lb. so no need to break it down further. If I was looking to trim costs on specials then yes I would have asked for the numbers to be broken down by line item or at least line items i was thinking about removing.
