Amber Exit Stairs Light

OK, officially color me brain dead or just dumb. I have located an amber exit stair light that is under my 2011 Mountain Aire, but for the life of me I can't locate the switch to turn it on. The light is located under the stairs and just beneath the coach body at the entry/exit door.

Thanks for anyone's help.

Mike

Most units I have seen the light is connected to the retractable stair and only comes on when the stair is on.

The entrance/exit light should turn on when the door is opened and the steps are extended.

Yes, that's it.

On our coach, there was a wire from the stair light that had become disconnected from the step controller. Once I connected it back up the light worked. IIRC the door switch has to be in the position where the steps open and close with the door for it to light. Mine also lights when the porch light is turned on.

This light on/off has changed. Different years and models may work differently. Mine is on when the entry light over the door is on. The switch is on the co-pilot's command center under the right side cockpit window. The switch is marked "patio". Door or steps position does not matter. If the exterior light over the door is on, the amber light under the steps is on.

We have a 2011 MA 4336. I am sure same set up as you. On the system control panel above front passenger seat you will note at very bottom of the panel, right corner, there is a switch marked "exterior step". Press it up so the "red" is exposed - if you go outside you will see the yellow step light is on.

2011 MA Step Light

Thanks Darrel. I will try that. I hope you're enjoying your MA as much as we are. I find out something new everytime we take it out.

Thanks.

Mike
