Anyone know where I can get a replacement RF parking lens for my 99 Dutch Star ?....Dealer wants to sell me whole assembly; all I need is the amber lens.
I'm a newbie and this is my 1st post.

Welcome YankeeCliper to the Newmar forum and irv2.
Give Jeanne a call at Newmar Parts. Was there last month and she had them in stock.
Just give her your coach build number to match up for correct one.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Is your light assembly the same as mine, 2000 Dutch Star?
If so I will re-send the long reply that I lost when trying to post it. I may have a cheap answer for you.

What kind of Dutch Star do you have? Every photo I find of a '99 shows the same headlight assembly that I have.
But anyway, mine is a Ford assembly that was on Ford pickups between '92-'97. I found tons of them at the local junk yard. The part that I bought was the actual headlight lens that the headlight bulb mounts in and cost $25.
Since we are talking headlights, I will pass this on...
Daniel, of danielsternlighting.com, was the one that told me the the 2000 Dutch Star used a Ford headlight assembly. He advised me NOT to use any of the aftermarket versions like DJAuto, TYC, or DEPO since they were not manufactured properly. He said that the Ford assembly was the best of the bunch, although not great. When I checked mine I had one Ford and one TYC. I wasnt satisfied with my lighting when driving at night, so I replaced the TYC with a Ford version that I got at the junk yard. I also replaced the headlight bulbs with what Daniel said were the best: "The best 9007 bulbs presently on the market are the GE Night Hawk 9007NH and the Philips VisionPlus 9007VP". I then found someone that had the proper equipment to adjust the headlights and had them re-aimed. They were quite a bit out of adjustment. I havent had the occasion to drive at night since all this was done so I dont yet know the improvement.

I have a 1999 Dutch Star , model DSCA 3365.. The reason it is not like yours is because I have a Ford V-10 gas chasis ,from the picture you show ; you have a diesel pusher. The lenses are completly different !
The lens is aprox. 6 x 10. .
Further; I called the Newmar parts number someone posted and they don't have the part but want to sell me an entire assemply @ $247. They did tell me the part # is 33835.
If you look at a picture of a 1999 Dutch Star ,V-10 gas chasis, you will see the open grill on the front(indicating gas engine); yours is closed , indicating diesel engine pusher.
I can send ya a pic from the catalouge or my rig; but can't upload here yet.

Here is a site that may help you out give it a try. Just the lens maybe hard to find unless in a junk yard. Newmar use's lens from different MFG's when building their coachs in different years.

YankeeCliper..
Oh, well the fact that it is a gasser makes a difference. I wasnt aware that the gas model carried the Dutch Star name. I searched for your model and found a picture so I now know what you mean.
The fact that is on a Ford chassis may mean that it has Ford headlights. I would try to track that down and, if that is the case, check with wrecking yards.
