I had the same issue when I first took delivery of my Dutch Star, shade would bounce and rattle. I installed a strip of 3M Dual Lock on the back side of each end of the bottom bar of the shade and then a strip on each side of the vertical window frame. With some downward pressure on the shade, I lock the Dual Lock pieces together which holds the shade in a taught position and stops the bouncing and movement. I have rolled the shade over in the photo to show the backside of the bottom of the shade with one side of the Dual Lock installed. The other locking component is on the window frame.

Some might call this product velcro (hook & loop) but it's not. It is a far stronger product with significantly more holding strength than velcro. It's also quite expensive but you will find it has multiple uses around your motorhome. Here's a link to this product on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This solution has worked very well for me, no more bouncing and rattling.
Hope this helps.

This actually looks like a viable option to stop the bouncing and chaffing noise. Question...once they are locked in and taught, what happens when the sun moves and you push the button on the dash to reposition them?

I don't adjust the day shade while I'm driving. The only shade that is tensioned is the day shade and I have the bottom of that shade pulled down tight and locked into the Dual Lock at the top of the power window. If necessary, I will adjust the night shade to block the sun. With the day shade in this position, I have full visibility through the driver's side windows and the side view mirror. When I get to my destination I "unlock" the Dual Lock and adjust the day shade for privacy.

Yes, it's viable! It actually works very well, my shades make no noise and they don't move.

I put self-stick velcro on the bottom of the shade and then put the other velcro half at various points on the wall where I pull down the shade. Pull the shade down to that level and press. It only takes a few small squares of velcro on the ends. No more annoying mouse-like squeaks.
