Another AC question

So with the help of some awesome people here I was able to hook up the wires correctly. Now my question is this. I was replacing on my 1996 Dutch Star both AC units and the thermostat. When I finally fired up the new system I got an E1 error code. E1 code: Loss of communication between the Single Zone LCD thermostat and the module board. LCD will cycle between E1 and the previous mode setting. System will shut down.

Did I forget to change out something or is it something else?

Attached is PDF document showing E1 error recovery procedure, from Dometic, for the CCC thermostat. This should fix it.
