So many of you were helpful on my last question so I will try again with a new one. I went and started things up on my Bay Star 2901. The batteries where at about 3/4 after about 2 weeks of storage. Is this normal?

I also can not find the fuse for the LP leak detector as was recommended by several individuals. For now I just unhooked the positive lead to the detector. Is this ok and what do you think about adding an on/off switch right next to the detector so I dont have to search for fuses?

And last I went up on the roof and discovered that this MH is equipped with a small solar panel. I would think this would keep the batteries charged. Does the solar panel become diconnected when you diconect the batteries by way of the cut off switch inside? If this is true, shouldn't you leave the batteries connected when in storage so that the solar panel charges them?

Thanks again for all the great advice in advance.

Jazzguy,

Don't know where the fuse for the CO or LP monitor is on a Baystar, but bet a Baystar owner will assist on that one.

The solar panel is to keep a charge on the chassis batteries and not the coach batteries, so the cut off switch would not be affected as it cuts off the coach batteries.

Did you have the Battery cut off switch operated? Your Owners Guide should discribe operation for coach in storage.
Yes you can add a switch for LP, your sure you have none in your tank level display area.

I did cut off the switch for storage but this does not cut off the lp leak detector. Several people recommended pulling the fuse for it but I can not find it and I thought a switch may just be easier anyways.

Thanks for the heads up on the solar panel. Another mystery solved Thanks!!

My LP is fed off the engine battery through the cutoff switch.

Yes, a cut-off switch for the LP detector would be a good solution.
