Another trip, another check engine light.....

Last time out I had a check engine light turn on, but it cleared itself. This time out, after 400 miles of a 700 mile trip, it turns on again. I checked the codes using the dash, and it is SNP 3216 FMI 2.
Can anybody confirm that this is the Outlet side NOX sensor gone bad ?
It looks pretty easy to change, if it is, but what is the best place to buy one. I am not used to buying large truck parts............... Oh, the coach has 5200 miles........
Thanks in advance for any help with this issue

When I have had an issue like this, I have called Freightliner (if its a FL) discuss the issue with them (is it OK to drive) and they can source the part and nearest location of get it repaired. Good luck

I had the CE light for a nox sensor and it was cured with a software update at a FL dealer.

Agree with the suggestion to call the FL help line especially if you are under warranty.

Thanks for the help gents, I'll call them, but as I live in the coach, I'd rather fix it in situ, than have it sit at a dealer for days.
I don't think my coach has ever had a software update, so maybe it was a common issue, and that's all it needs.
Thanks again !

We had a similar issue with our 2014 Ventana LE and took it to a Cummins service center. They updated the software (28 updates!) and the issue was resolved.

This is not something that can be done "in situ," unless you can convince a Cummins or Freightliner service center to send out a mobile tech. And, I can assure you that it will not be inexpensive.

Get it to Cummins, I had similar symptoms. Cummins fixed everything under their five year warranty.
