After taking delivery of our new Essex (our first MH) in Nappanee on 1/19, we've slowly made our way down south via AL to north FL to slightly warmer weather (It was -1 while we were at Camp Newmar). Tomorrow, we're headed for Nirvana (aka - Riverbend near Ft Myers) where we'll hide out until the inevitable Northern thaw in May. We have a spot in Riverbend on the lake for a month and then we'll decide whether to stay or move on to another site. Based on recommendations from other Newmar owners, we might try Pelican Lake or Silver Lakes in Naples for a month or so.

Tomorrow, I dig out the shorts!

Randy, if you get a chance stop by Flora and Ellas in LaBelle. When I used to live in Ft. Myers, they were know for their great pies. We proably won't be down that way 'til June, as we visit our house down there after the last snowbirds leave. Of course, if you need service, call Rob Sanders at North Trail, and send him my regards.
Bob

Randy, Though I'm in Canada right now, I have a flight back tomorrow. You are coming to RiverBend at a great time (Not temperature, but events) The winter olympics are currently in progress right now with all kinds of fun things to do or watch. They close on Tuesday at 5:00 PM. The closing cerimonies are held at the River Bar (Bender's) on Tuesday night. Should be a blast.
Feb. 27, 28 and Marchh 1 is the High end coach show with street parties, dancing, a huge "O" gauge train set-up will be operating, and much, much more.

See You There,

Peter

Thanks, Paul. I definitely want to come down and check out Pelican Lake and Silver Lakes. We're here for a month and then will probably want to move to another park in Naples to get a feel for what's available. Today, I mentioned to someone here that we'd probably move to Pelican Lake after the month was over and got a smirk. It seems some of the folks here at RIverbend think Pelican Lake is a little snooty and unfriendly. I can't imagine that is true with you there.

Hi,
We are headed down to Pelican Lake Wednesday. Can't wait. I do not expect anything but the best. As is the case usually the place your at is as good as you make it. It's got to beat New Jersey in February!
Thanks, Daryl

Hi! I look foward to hearing from you. I am not going to say anything to upset my dear River Bend Buddies, but a little snooty is not really true. Maybe a lot snooty!! Who knows?? Maybe we are. You will be able to judge for yourself. Paul

Hi Mike and Peggy - Where are you guys hiding out? I was beginning to think this was "Newmar Bend". Sorry. I couldn't resist. Stop by sometime - we're in 242 near BigBlock and Lane.

Sorry, Peter. As soon as I pressed "Enter", I thought, "Maybe I should have mentioned Peter - he's more than a stones throw away, but he does pass here several times a day". It all boils down to me being too lazy to edit my post - a side effect of the warm weather.
