Anyone going to the Redmond Ore FMCA Convention

I'm curious to know if any Newmar Owner Forum members are planning to attend the Redmond, Oregon FMCA International Convention on August 11-14, 2010, or the Newmar Chapter pre-rally at Mount Hood.

We will be attending the FMCA International Convention in Redmond, have an entry date of Monday 09 Aug between 0900 & 1200 for general parking. We will also be at Mt. Hood Village on 7 & 8 Aug even though we are not members of the Newmar Internation Chapter.

We are planning on both the Pre-rally and the Convention if my wife can get away from work at that time. We live in Spokane, Wa. so this is an opportuniy to attend an International Convention that isnt too far away and also meet the FMCA Newmar bunch. It sounds like you are not planning to park with the Newmar group. In case you didnt see this in their newsletter, here is their plan:

"Welches is approximately 100 miles distant from the site of FMCA‟s 84th International Convention in Redmond. Each coach departing from the RV resort on Monday, August 9th is responsible for meeting up at the Redmond Senior High School parking lot where rigs will be lined up for caravanning the short distance to the convention. Caravan cards will be issued to members at the pre-rally. Remember, you must pre-register for the FMCA International Convention in Redmond if you wish to caravan and park as a group."

I see that your toad is a Mini Cooper. That is what I wanted as a toad, but wasnt sure how and if they were towable. While I was thinking about it we had the worst snow storm in 15 year (winter before last) and my wife's car just would not work in the snow, so we ended up with a Jeep Cherokee. It serves two purposes, wife car and toad. I still would like a Mini, oh well...
