Not sure where we're going to be yet but, would love to see some irv2.com folks. My father in law is visiting and he is in the process of looking for a new coach. He'll definitely want to chat anybody up on the topic.

Not many takers for your invitation Scott we would like to join you but we have to chop thru 2" of ice in driveway. Plus snow banks.
Enjoy your stay in Florida.

Paul,

Not sure what's going on. We made these reservations over a year in advance. I have tried to extend them by one day a few times w/no luck. I know the SuperBowl is just down the road but, you'd think by the following Friday the extra traffic would be gone.

The renovation project is going on but, when we were there in December they were only shuting one loop down at a time. They were able to clear the sites and pour concrete in about 10 days.

One of my close friends managed Tropical Palms up until this past December. He told me they were having a down year. He said all of Orlando/Kissimmee area is down 20% due to economy. Disney as a whole is down or flat but, FW is packed.

I'm going to stop saying what a great place it is so I can actually get reservations.

On site 344. Anyone stop by if they would like.

The pad has got to be 43' 1".

They double booked us and I had to help a German couple visiting and renting a motorhome as they got put on our site. I was translator w/the front desk via cell phone.

I had to wait 20 minutes at the front check-in while they found me a site. I think they screwed up my reservation which I have had for over a year.

Hi Scott,
Welcome to Florida. I'm sorry it is not very warm (for me anyway). You've been there so much, I'd think Mickey would recognize you as a frequent stayer and provide the royal treatment. As a CG owner, I'm sure you had all your papers in order. With Mickey, whoever has the most paper wins.

Scott,

We were there 5 times in late 2007 and 2008 and they messed up our reservations twice, of course always made way in advance.

Just made reservations for a weekend in March, (only preferred loop available, requested 300,) and 8 days in May on Premium Loop, 700 requested. Seems Disney has slowed down a bit!

I have friends that just arrived in Ft. Wilderness yesterday. They are in the 500 Loop. The rates are high because the the prime season has started.....Like $117.00/day.....OUCH ! But it's Disney.......
