I have just posted 7 documents in the Yahoo Newmar Owners files section regarding the Dometic Refer recall situation. I would like to have them available on IRV2 also, but don't know where to put them. If you aren't aware, Dometic is issueing a recall on 926,000 (YES 926,000) refers that under certain circumstances will leak coolant and start a fire. There have been so many questions re: this on Yahoo that I pulled all the NHTSA and Dometic documents regarding this issue. If you would like to review them, they are in the Yahoo Newmar Owners files section under "Dometic Refer Recall".

Let me know how and if you guys want them over here.

Jack

Jack,
Can you put a link here to the recall?
You need to put the topic in General discussion and not in the Newmar forum though. Since the fridges are used to lots of people besides Newmar owners.
Thanks.
Mike

Jack,

Thanks for thinking about us here on iRV2. The information regarding the Dometic Refrigerator recall should be extremely helpful to all our members considering they're installed in various brands and all classes of MH's and trailers.

I think it may be appropriate to the forum's topic organization to place that recall in our RV Systems & Appliances forum. It's a forum for discussing heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, appliances, LP gas, audio-visual, and other internal RV systems.

Again, thanks for thinking of iRV2.

Whoops, looks as if Mike posted while I was typing. I suppose either way would be OK.

I have posted a link under the Appliances section of IRV2. I'll also initiate a new topic here so our fellow Newmar owners are aware of it.
