I hated the autolock feature when you turn the key on in my coach. Newmar installed a switch on the YELLOW wire off of the Marksman keyless entry system.

To do it yourself, pull off dash cover and find the Marksman control box, about 4"X3"X1". You will see a yellow wire among others. This wire controls the autolock feature. Just install a switch in that wire and done. Turn the switch on for autolock, and off for no auto lock.

Also, had to learn how to program the remotes on as Newmar gave me a third one. I believe this is standard on all Dutch Stars and maybe Kountry Stars now. Once you locate the control box under the dash cover, you will see a black wire hanging w/a little cylinder at the end. There is a small "valet" button there.

Turn the engine on, push that button rapidly 6 times. You will hear the horn blast 3 times, then one short blast. Then w/in 10 seconds, push any button on the first remote, you will hear a single horn, then any button on second remote, two blasts. This can be done up to 4 remotes.

(Please note that if you do install the switch per above, it must be in the on position to program the remotes. Had to find that out the hard way)

Side notes:
If you push both the unlock and lock at the same time you can silently unlock and lock the coach.

If you have baggage compartment power locks, holding the trunk unlock button for 3 seconds will unlock them. (the one lock button does both the door and baggage compartments)
