Automatic On/OFF closet lights

I have a 2016 Dutch Star 4369 The 3 door wardrobe closet along the back wall of the coach and the 2 shirt closets in the bedroom have an overhead manual light. In other words, when you open the closet you have to turn on the light. Yeah I know, it's not a big deal to turn on the light but I wanted better.
Went to my local alarm supply store and bought 7 Normally open alarm magnets. (3 doors for the wardrobe and 2 doors each for the shirt closets for a total of 7)
Using a standard Bosch 12V relay, (1 for the wardrobe and 1 each for the 2 shirt closets for a total of 3)
I hooked up the lights via the magnets so when you open any of the doors, it acts as a ground trigger and turns on the overhead lights. (You can't run 12 volts through the magnets but a "ground" trigger works just a well as a 12 volt signal)
Obviously when you close the doors, the light turns off. Wasn't too expensive (magnets were about $3.50 ea and I had bag full of spare relays from my previous sand rail. A little bit of wire, some thinking and now they're automatic.

Thanks for the information LJowdy,
I did something similar for my wife who had difficulty putting any lights on in any closet because of arthritis.
I used small switch's and pull wiring from ceiling for all closets, kitchen cabinets and mounted cabinet switched lights in the kitchen base cabinets.
People can find all the information in QT's 1 & 2 in my MOD Section, bottom of page with access to many more MOD's by other members of this forum.
If you have any other MOD's post them in this thread and I will add this thread to QT's # 3.
