Awning and under slide lights that do not match, has anyone done anything to fix?

I hate the way the lights on the awning(blue/white led) do not match the yellowish underslide lights, which are also led but a completely different color. It looks tacky.

Has anyone out there changed out the underslide lights to match the awning? How did you do it and where did you get the lights?

Thanks!

Lynn

I replaced the lights on my awnings to match my under slide lights. Purchased the LED strips from Newmar so everything is the same. It's beyond me why Newmar wouldn't use the same color temp lights for all applications. I'm not a big fan of cool white and in most circumstances would prefer the warm white temp, 2700 to 3500 K. The different light temps drove me crazy but obviously it's not important to most as I haven't seen anyone else with this changed.

Here is a photo with the job 1/2 done. Note that the lights I purchased from Newmar do not come in a length long enough to do an entire awning (which is probably why Newmar uses the cool white on the awnings). I could not find the outdoor rated LED strips with the black background anywhere on the internet so I purchased from Newmar and spliced two strips together, no problems in 2.5 years and they look great.

Awning lights likely come from Girard as part of the awning package.

That's right, and Girard does sell the Nova awning with a warmer LED option. (Like Swag, I dislike cool white LEDs for casual living spaces, so I inquired about this when replacing my awnings.)

Maybe Newmar would be willing to pass that through to Girard as part of a special order.

Thank you, SWag. I MUCH prefer the warmer lights but I just assumed (wrongly) that I couldn’t do anything with the awning lights. Was the task difficult? My husband is pretty good with most stuff like that and he was thinking that the under slide stuff would be pretty easy. I would hate to trade an easy task for a difficult one, but am willing to ask him if it wasn’t awful.
