Our main awning will not extend. The door awning works fine. I traded switches and the door awning still works and the main awning doesn’t. All the lights appear to be on the wind control. The fuse is good and there’s power to the switch. This is a Dometic (A&E) wall mounted awning. Is there a way to manually extend this awning so I can get a look at the motor? Any other tricks to these little shade makers? I’ve looked every where for an owners manual or some sort of support and have come up empty. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you find where the motor wires enter the awning arm?......need to jumper 12 volts and see what happens......there's also a connection up at the roller, inside the arm cover.(If you need to, that cover can be gently pried out of your way)
Thought I had checked everything. Was in the cargo bay where the wind controller is. As was attempting to test the circuits for current. The awning motor socket wires looked to be precisely stripped like they had been tested before. I put the tester on them and there was no power. I also noticed that the plug seemed to sit in the hole a little sideways. I pushed on it firmly and felt it click.i thought surely it couldn’t be that easy. Stepped up in the coach, hit the button and just as pretty as you please the awning extended and we now have a shade tree in the front yard.
Thanks for trying to help Bob. I learned a few things through this process.
On to the project!
