Awning over Door

Came home to find my A&E Door awning lying on the ground. Must have had a freak gust of wind and it was torn off. It appears there is one part broken, called Dometic and the part is obsolete and sold out. She referred me to Fiamma. I think I found the right part number from a parts list they supplied but have yet to hear back if they have it available. Other than buying a new one is there some place that has a stash of parts? Or maybe just buy one off a wreck and part it out myself?

I'm a little confused on this post because A&E and Dometic are 2 different manufacturers. I don't know an A&E awning could have a Dometic part. You may have to replace the whole awning & assembly. For a door awning shouldn't be real expensive.

A&E and Dometic have actually been part of the same conglomerate (Electrolux) for many years. They've actually been essentially the same company since about 2001, although they continue to operate under separate names.

Well at this point I have exhausted the manufactures as far as replacement parts. Unit was made in 2003. On to search for one off of a wreck. I'll by an entire awning if it is the right one just for the parts. Is there a listing of RV salvage yards in Florida somewhere?
