Awning sun scrren experience?

We have a 2011 Essex with Girard awnings. Considering the Shade Pro Vistashade, which is a sun screen system that has a section ~4 ft long that installs in the slit in the roller and rolls up with the awning. There is then another section (variable length selections) which zips into the insert portion when the awning is out. Just wondering if anyone is using this and has any pros or cons? Real concern is if there enough room in the roller to hold the additional 4 ft of screen material without screwing something up or stressing the motor? Suggestions & comments welcomed -- Thanks in advance.

I have the shade pro product, but the upper part is 2 ft vice 4. I don't think my awning would be able to handle 4 ft. It's a great product.

I don't think it can be used on a Girard awning at all. Give Shade Pro a call to be sure. I know it can't fit ours, plus the I'd have to shut off the autoretract.

I have a standard non-Girard awning and the 4 ft Shade-Pro works great on my awning. I can reach up and unzip the bottom 6 ft section and put up the awning if the wind comes up. It take me about a minute.

Same with me- I find most of the time the 4' section provides adequate shade without hooking up the bottom section.
