Just back from a two week trip. Just about 4000 miles from Long Island NY to Galveston Tx and back. My '98 Dutch Star DP ran flawlessly! Installed a true center steering stabilizer before the trip and it made a considerable difference. The coach is absolutely silent and smooth on good roads but once back in the ny metro area - yipes! These roads suck and we pay the most ridiculous taxes and tolls. I am planning to move out of the NY area and will go either to Fl or TX. It wil be nice to avoid this junk on future trips. Anyway, just wanted to comment on what a success this trip was due to the great "old" Newmar.
Paul

Glad you had a safe and troubled free trip, did add some miles.
NY CITY I avoid #287 has been improved up before bridge has been improved #684 still has bumps last time I was on it.

007,

Was going to use the following to get to Florida from Montreal end of October
87 - 287 -78 - 81 - 66 - 17 - 95

Could you give me the status on 287 (why you avoid it) and some alternate route to get to 81 ?

Thanks - RB

I thought the main routes up and down the state of California were as bad as it gets. Just like New York we are being ripped off when it comes to license fees and road tax although we do not have the as manu tolls yet. That will be another way that we will get ripped off.
