None know anything about the banks exhaust system? What it does, what it costs, if it is worth it? We have a Ventana, 2008.

I'm not sure if your unit is a diesel or gas. I think for gas units it makes sense and probablely works well. If it is a diesel, I would have concern as to the changes if it changes any of the fuel delivery. More fuel in will normally yeild more power out, however, it will shorten the life and probably the oil change fequency. Generally, modern RV diesels run 15/20 thousand miles between oil changes. But actually the required change is more like after 2000 gallons of fuel has been consumed. This is why heavier applications requires shorter oil change frequencies.
Banks, however, makes great products that apparently perform well.

We have a 2004 Dolphin 36 ft. wwith the Workhorse 8.1 gas engine. Last year installed the complete Banks system. Great boost on torque and power at the levels where you need it. Don't expect mpg increases as more power does not save gas, never! Well worth the cost for my book. Suggest call thei hot line and discuss your needs and applications. They were very helpful and the tech dept. is superb. Good luck.

Our coach came with the banks system so dont know what it was like before PO installed at a cost of 3000.00 Dont know if I would install one or not no increase in gas mileage as I understand it. Probably would spend the money on something else..

On your DP I do not see a conversion for your year motor home on their web site.
Banks worked fine on Ford gas coach's I had not sure what you may gain for your DP.

OP, what engine do you have? If it's an ISB or the 6.7 you might be in luck, if it's an ISC they don't have anything for it.
On a DP it's not an exhaust system, in fact you don't touch the exhaust other than to install a new turbo housing.
Kit is new turbo housing, wiring loom, AutoMind black box, new BigHead actuator, and new boost and EGT gauges, along with assorted hardware.
I installed ours myself. Works great, much wider power band. The raw figures (435HP and 1200 ft lbs torque) don't tell the story. I'll post a chart later, right now I'm transferring some files to one of my servers and don't want to interrupt it.

Well, it's too late to edit my post above so here's the chart:

Notice the area between the green (stock) and the red (Banks Power Pack). That's the increase. It's even well above the ISL 400 in almost all areas.
What I like is the fact that I have more torque than the stock engine at peak from 1200 to 2100 rpm, that's a huge difference.

Sorry, but that NEVER is simply NOT true.

But...I just wanted to dispell this myth. I just don't feel like going all into it again any more. Just do your research, even on the net, and you will learn that MPGs can easily be gained with more power.

Been there, done that sooo many times, on sooo many engines.

OK, second wind here. Chart in above post shows it perfectly.

Just 1 example....

Pulling up a small grade (hill)

RPM 4000
MPH 60
Gear 3rd (out of overdrive)

So....more power =
RPM 3000
MPH 60
Gear 4th (overdrive) = better MPG

Mr300c, I stand corrected. One should never say "never". I should have said "more often than not". Your chart is impresive, good job. I too am sold on the Banks setup and was looking for power curve, not MPG.

I have recently installed the Banks System. On Saturday, I drove the rig without a towd for the first time since the installation. I previously modified the suspension with trac bar, HD anti-sway bars and steering stabilizer.

I have a Bay Star 2901 and it now drives like a van and not like a motor home. I finally have a rig that drives equally to my former Alpine Coach (a lot noisier though!!!). Because of the changes and modifications (at a price), I doubt that the mileage will improve because of the way it wants to be driven. I was enjoying myself, enjoying the scenery and looked down at the speedo and I was at 80!! I slowed down an set the cruise.
