Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

This morning I switched on the basement blower and it started briefly then I heard what sounded like something getting stuck and then the motor quit. I suspect something jammed it. I have a few questions:
  • Is the blower motor for this located behind the water closet panel?
  • Is there a seperate fuse for this motor? My furnace is working fine.
  • Will I need to remove the water panel to replace this motor or is located somewhere else?
Thanks,
Joe

Welcome to the Newmar forum Joe and irv2.
My blower a ,12v fan in foil tubing, is located in foward compartment from water tanks on my coach. The location on shelf can sometimes have stuff stored next to it and blocking foil tube or jaming fan from turning. The fan cycles with furnace on and off operation.
The power would in that case be coming from control board of furnace.
If you take off air intake wood vent for furnace you may see some fuses near floor level taped together that may have a fuse for fan. Never had a problem with that fan so this may only be a guess.
Let us know how you make out enjoy the forums.

Thank you for the reply. After a reply from the Newmar email group I learned the following - The blower motor is inside the basement against the wall next to the water closet. The fuse is at the base of the furnace (accessed from outside the coach).

After disassembling the inside blower motor I found a sheet metal self tapping screw in the duct work. I removed it, cleaned everything up, replaced the fuse and I'm back to new.

Thanks,
Joe
