Geoman welcome to the Newmar forum & irv2.
This post will explain about the 12v heater fan and foil 4" tube to your tank area.
Found this thread also. Thought someone had a picture but didn't find one and my compartment is snowed in and its cold.
If you have it you will find it.
My tube & fan thats in it, is located just forward of tank compartment in next forward bay. Its positioned above the frame rail storage area in that compartment.
When you find it you will see the 12v computer fan in tube.
The switch mentioned is on mine to the left of hose hookups in water bay.
If you can not find it run your furnace and check for heat in tank area.
I believe there is a fuse located for fan under your refrigerator behind removable vent for furnace. I have three fuses tape together in that area outside furnace housing. Never had trouble with fan someone else did, Norm4015, and found fuse there.
With the switch on the fan will cycle with & when the furnace is on.

Same thing happened to me. I suspect the fuse for the basement fan is blown. Pull off the interior louvered grill to access the furnace. Somewhere in that compartment you'll find an in-line fuse holder. Mine was hanging down in front on the right hand side. I think it was labelled. That's the fuse for the basement blower.

George - sorry---I didn't read your original question. I asssume you know that the basement blower works only when the propane furnace blower is working/blowing hot air into the coach. To find the basement blower motor get into the basement and look for a silver flexible duct. The basement blower motor is somewhere along that duct. In my coach it was at the beginning (up near the floor). Hope that helps. Joel

Thanks for everybody's input. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, the weather just hasen't been nice here in New England. I checked the fuse and other suggestions, with no success. I found the blower motor and discovered it was a bad motor. Again thanks for the info, it was very helpful.
