Both 6v engine/chasis batteries were all but dead on our motorhome when brought home. My husband replaced them, but seems to have hooked up something wrong. Is there anywhere to find a diagram on the correct hookup? If hooked up improperly is there a relay or breaker that could have been thrown? Thanks!

How many batteries do you have? We have two starting batteries and 4 6 volt house batteries so I could send you a picture if you have the same setup.

Welcome Motorhome1 to Newmar forum and irv2.
You have a battery cut off switch that may have been thrown that would not have allowed batteries to be charged by your B.I.R.D. charging system if you leave your coach plugged in while parked at home.
This Owners Guide will explain battery cut off on page 7-3.
2003 DSDP Brochure
If you go to the Quick Tips link and access the COM_NET link you will find more info on your coach.
Enjoy the forum and welcome to Newmar family.

There are many battery hookup pictures and threads people had problems when changing their batteries in Newmar forum search engine.
This thread is one of them.
Just type in battery hookup.

OK, lets see if this works:
Yep, a little dirty but not bad for not being cleaned for several years and 9 year old batteries. Notice the lack of corrosion, and the terminals stay that way due to the 4 oz of mineral oil in each cell.
