Battery Shopping
Time to replace the house batteries. The Discover AGMs installed are done after 28 months and looking to replace them. Other than Lifeline and Interstate, are there any other brands recommended? Of Lifeline and Interstate, which ones are preferred?

Lifelines are the best, usually 8-10 years life, $300.00 each
Deka Intimidators next, usually 5-6 years life, $ 200.00 each
Quoting 6 volt golf cart size.
JMHO and experience with both....

Dura Cell agm 6 volt golf cart batteries from Sam’s Club. US made by East Penn in Pennsylvania. About $180 each. Replaced the Interstate wet cells about a year ago that were corroding my battery bay. Couldn’t be happier with them. Lifelines are the best but if you don’t do a lot of boondocking these are a very good alternative.

I just replaced my gc-2 flooded wet cell batteries with Duracell A.K.A. eastern penn, deka battery. The replacement gc-2 batteries are AGM rated ar 190 amp hour at 20. Paid $240 each and I also had to make a few quick adjustments to my magnum inverter.

Duracell AGM from Sam's for price. Lifeline for a premium AGM and 2x to 3x the cycles.
If you are planning to have the coach long term, consider Lithium. Lots of advantages. Especially if you drycamp. Battleborn, others.

I just ordered a set of 8 on my 2020 Ventana. The upcharge over the regular batteries was $1550. I called the manufacture of them - they are $380 retail. Its late and I don't have the name - but you can call Newmar and ask them who they use. The company is a small company that supplies are of Newmars's AGM's.

Consider Lifeline batteries. Mine have been in the coach longer than I can remember.

I also ditched the wetcells that were corroding my battery bay and tray and installed the Duracell AGM's from Sam's . That was a year and a half ago. Been working fine and the battery bay is super clean.

 Save a lot of time & get 7-9 years life by using Lifeline AGM's
NOT THE CHEAPEST, BUT DEFINETLY THE BEST!
The Discover AGM's that Newmar puts in are a piece of Chineese Junk! Mine only lasted 22 months!

We’re on our second Newmar coach. Using the LifeLines we installed in the first one.
