Could someone help me locate the battery isolator/relay switch for a
2006 Newmar Essex 4502. I would like to think it is near the battery
compartments but I can't put my hands on it. We have 8 house batteries
and 2 chassis batteries (all electric coach).

The relay operates as it should, from the Intellitec control panel, but I would like to see how it is wired and mounted.

Thanks,

JOE&SHARON

JOE&SHARON..I would suggest calling Newmar Tech Support if no one answers you soon. (I know it is an answer I can get from Monaco Tech Support) Does Newmar have a Tech Support line??

Say, Joe & Sharon:

We too have an 08, 4502 Essex and...when you locate this relay switch could you please post WHERE ya found it. I assume you're not talking about the Master Switch. Thanks. Steve & Lynette

Newmar has a very good technical service department. I did not try them last night untill after I made this post.

I got their answer this morning @0743 AM.

I was told to look in the shore power compartment behind a black ABS cover. I have not done so yet but will shortly.

I am actually trying to see if I can isolate the inverter to prevent some very strong RFI believed to be coming from same.

The item I am looking for is the Intellitec BD-1 coach disconnect.

I will post my findings later.

Joe

I found the switch/relay in the shore power compartment per instructions from Newmar. It is located behind an ABS cover which is attached with Velcro. The ABS is about 16" x 16" and is in the back of the compartment
toward the coach frame.

Thanks to everyone who responded.
