Battery tray

We have a 2014 Ventana 4036. When I want to check the house batteries ( there are 3 sets of 2 ) the sliding tray will come out showing the front 4 then hangs on the cable conduits, not allowing a check on the back 2. Thanks for any help.

Hi Gsgarland,
Welcome to the club. Many of us are in the same situation. When my batteries were new, the first thing I did was obtain a dentist mirror. That irritation wore off and I purchased a water fill kit. Go to Search - battery water fill - Camping World to see a sample. If you do this make sure you purchase the hand pump. After the batteries wore out, I switched to AGM type batteries.

This seems like a problem that the dealer should have corrected during the PDI.

Gs, it has to do with just how the battery cables are supported above the batteries. There will be two or three bundles of cable, 00 or larger. These are suspended with loosely installed wire ties to a pair of steel bars above the batts. They must be hung loosely enough that they will accordion out and in, but also just high enough that they won't hang down onto or below the battery tops, or jam behind the battery bank itself. It's a delicate balance, made all the harder by difficult and cumbersome access. By the time you get your arms in there you're working almost totally blind.

Same thing happened to me, found the cables were hanging up on the middle set of battery post, I just lift them up each time I pull the try out. Hope it is that simple on yours.

Battery Tray

How do I slide the battery tray out to put water in the coach batteries in a 2015 Winnebago Sunstar. I removed the nut at the bottom of the tray but I cannot get the try to slide out.

MJC welcome to irv2.
You may need to cut some wire ties to get slack in battery cables so tray can be pulled out further.
Once you have tray out tie the cables so the slack will fold in over batteries as you push tray back.
