Bay door lock stuck

Help! I have a bay door that won't open. It appears to have a stuck lock. I have electric locks on this coach, and toggling the locks doesn't seem to unstick it. The key will not turn in the lock.

Am I left with only the option to crawl into the bay from the side (not even sure I can do it with the stuff jammed in there and the tray, but maybe) and pull the latch from the inside? Once I do that, will I likely find that I have a stuck solenoid or something? Anybody ever had this particular problem before?

Again, to be clear: the latch does not seem to be stuck. That is the problem I have found a lot of other threads about, but I think that might not be my issue.

Thanks folks,

Ben

Ben,
Before crawling in try a couple of things which sometimes work for me.
Position the mh in all 3 modes, ie: on jacks, just air dump and also aired up.
Also try pulling up or down on the door while working the latch.

Another thing you may try... pushing against the bay door, as though you were closing it firmly, and operate the locking mechanism while your applying force.

get a lubricant with a spray wand (straw) like white spray lube or WD 40

spray the lube in the key slot

slowly work the key in and out until it does that easily (spraying again & again)

start turning the key back & forth (spraying again & again)

the key should start to work

if it does work, lube all the other locks, as well
