Have the door latch unlocked but it appears the cable from the handle to the latch isn't tight enough or something to properly let me open the door. It was dark and cold out so I didn't crawl underneath yet but will on Sunday.

Any ideas?

What year is your Dutchstar? The bay doors on my 2004 do not have cables but as we store the MOHO over the winter in our driveway, I do have problems opening the doors from time to time. I remove all the latches one at a time, at least once a year to clean, adjust & lubricate them. The ones that gives me the most problems are the propane & battery compartment doors as they are open to the elements.

It's a 2010 model.

I rigged up a hanger with a hook to reach up to snag the cable and open the door. The cable had come loose from the latch and created slack but held on enough for the hanger to work. Tightened up the slack and now have another regular maintenance item to check.
