Bay Star 2901 windshield shade recommendations?

Im looking for an electric windshield shade for my Bay Star and Ive looked at a few, but I want one with a good track record. I tried searching this forum and I'd be surprised if the answer wasn't here somewhere but I haven't been able to find it yet. So recommendations on a windshield shade for driving that screnes glare? Quality is more important than price on this. I cant imagine how anyone thought those cheap little visors would be sufficient.
Thanks

Mcd shades would be one of the better quality. It is what I have in my dsdp.

The previous owner of our Bay Star 3302 had MCD shades installed and they are really excellent! The shade screens are very handy when on the road, and the privacy shades are great at night or when you need to block bright sunlight and the accompanying heat. If we were to ever get a different MH, I'm sure I'd have them installed. And, they're much better than fooling around with sloppy curtains.

I replaced the pleated cockpit shade 2 months after buying my 2901 with MCD's powered Platinum Duo Shades for the cockpit. The OEM shade liked to jump out of its track and was a hassle to use. I purchased the MCD's best retail shades and could choose the color and quality of them vs the cheapest grade that RV builders are buying.

I drive alone and with 6 switches I can raise and lower the shades while driving to block the sunshine. I have not had any problem with the shade motors. The MCD shades that Newmar was installing in new coaches had lots of motor, etc failures with the "bad batch" excuses. That showed that you get what you pay for from MCD.

Two years later I replaced the remaining 10 window's OEM blinds after having to restring 3 and another one about to break. The replacement Platinum Duo shades matched the cockpit, are manual, and have also been trouble free so far.
MCD at McKinney, TX is the place to go for good choices, and installation. You get what you pay for, the Platinum Duo cost more but have a finer weave in the sun screen material and you can feel the quality improvement.

The 6 switches above the backup camera screen control the cockpit shades.

I chose the light color night shades that most closely matched the background cover of the wall paper. It works well with a projector to make the front windshield screen into a large screen TV for reviewing guests and my pictures/video after a dinner.

MCD or AutoMotion are probably your two top choices. I did the install of the MCD front power shade on my 2005 Diplomat. I would not recommend it, unless you feel really comfortable with that type of work. The hardest part was the initial measurement....it has to be exact. Often, you can get a good deal at Rallies or RV shows. AutoMotion attends a lot of those.

I had MCD duo shades installed in our 2901 2 years ago. Power on the windscreen and manual on the cockpit side windows. Very happy with them, no problems. They keep the cockpit considerably cooler when driving. I had them installed by an MCD dealer in Yuma rather than drive to Texas.

Whats the name of the Dealer in Yuma, and what did they charge for installation on the windshield shade? I Have side shades, so just need the windshield shade. I thought Id do it myself but if its reasonable....

I used RV Decor in Yuma but there is a dealer list on the MCD web site. You might find a better location. I don't recollect the cost but I know it wasn't cheap and it took them much longer than expected as the main installer kept disappearing to work on other rigs. I would not recommend them.

Anyone used Smoky Mountain Coach Works in Sevierville, TN for installing MCD shades?
